"It'll teach them a lesson!", Brenda Eckstrom insisted last week. Naturally, by last night's meeting - after a week's worth of angry emails - both Eckstrom and Cronan were recanting, insisting they'd never said anything of the sort.
These deluded viewers and voters should be ashamed of themselves, am I right!? And can't you hear Kopleman & Paige laughing all the way to the bank?
Someone please, roll the relevant portion of last week's meeting and post it here.

If you can believe it..... Slager was shaking his head is disgust as they recanted.
Now a real journalist will call them on it. And Bob may do that, but if Slager follows his past habits it will be "I must have misheard them last week."
Of course it's Cronin we're talking here, not Brucie. He may call out Cronin, but probably not Woman of the Year.

On Tuesday night local resident Rick Janey threatened to sue the town over what he described as the illegal construction of a neighboring house on 21 Crescent Place.
It appears he has the full support of the Board of Selectmen.
In a shockingly candid exchange, selectmen encouraged Janey to file a lawsuit, saying the actions of the town’s building inspection department were illegal and should be challenged in court.

John Cronan - With Bruce Sauvageau on vacation, Cronan took over as the mouth that roared during Tuesday night’s selectmen meeting. We love it when people refuse to mince words, but Cronan set the bar pretty high when he personally put town employees on notice that the nonsense of the past will no longer be tolerated. He seemed particularly miffed about the building inspector doing an end-run around the zoning board by signing an occupancy permit before a ZBA review was conducted. Cronan then told a local resident that he should sue the town because of the actions of the building inspector’s department. Now that’s a man of the people

The dialogue that goes on during BOS meetings is outrageous. They get sucked down to the level of...no offense...message boards like this and disgrace the priviledge of being on the board. They continue to get into exchanges that are really embarrassing....it's like a bunch of people talking politics at a bar. It might be "man of the people" like but certainly not what we should expect of elected officials.
