Week after week the Selectmen continue to blame others for the inept leadership skills. They constantly say that political opponents, town employees, citizens, Town board members, businesses, and the like are refusing to work with them.
Here's a little advice....
Maybe if the Selectmen didn't act like a bunch of power hungry CHILDREN, maybe people would believe them. You can't go entire meetings taking shots, insulting, and dragging through the mud the people the oppose your will.... and then expect everyone to believe you are in the right, and that it's them being difficult.
You can't go trashing town employees in open meeting on a constant basis. You can't go insulting people who sign a petition about a street name change. Have you ever heard a President of the US say, thank you Mr. Smith for costing the Country more money by appealing a decision we made in Iraq. Now let me name everyone else that's appealing. That's SPITE, not politics.
You won't be taken seriously when you admonish people and tell them they should be ashamed of appealing Board decisions, when two sentences later you tell the townspeople that Mr. Janey's legal right is to sue, and you wouldn't want to take that away from him. MAKE UP YOU MIND WHICH YOU BELIEVE IN!
If you didn't act like CHILDREN, maybe just maybe, more people would support you. GROWN UPS and REAL POLITICIANS don't take shots at their opponents in pubic meetings. You want to do it in private in in your own time, that's your business.
People have the RIGHT to believe in whatever politics they choose. Who are you to tell them they are WRONG in a public meeting? I don't hear the president taking shots at Democrats in his speeches. GROW THE FUCK UP!
And to the Town Clerk....for God's sake it is PATHETIC that EVERY TIME the Selectmen make a quip or a joke we can all hear your fabricated laughter.

I Saw The Meeting And When The Entire Board Told Everyone Who Signed The Petition That They Should Be Ashamed Of Themselves I Was Appaled. Did Anyone Tell The Bos That They Should Be Ashamed Of Themselves When They First Appealed The States Decision. Is Bruce Ashamed Of Himself For Fabricating The Circumstances Of His Arrest To Prompt An Investigation Which Will Cost The Town Money? No Bos You Are The Ones Who Should Be Ashamed Not Citizens Expressing Their Free Speech.

let me get this straight the list of petitioners should be ashamed of themselves????
anyone on that list cost the town 2 million $ in emminent domain fiasco
anyone on that list been admonished more than once by district attorney for open meeting violation
anyone on that list plead guilty to accepting gratuitous dirt from a federal military base
anyone on that list been arrested this year
anyone on that list had their car repossesssed or in danger of their house being forclosed
anyone on that list not paid their property taxes
anyone on that list firing employees without cause and then settling with our tax dollars
anyone on that list rejecting contract offers that the acting town administrat0r offered
anyone on that list calling people liars about where and why they signed a petition
anyone on that list screw up the assessments in the 90s costing millions
anyone on that list show a clear bias and end town meeting against the rules of order and the town charter
anyone on that list not paying a town official/contractor for work done
anyone on that list get caught building without a permit
anyone on the list get a ticket for driving dangerously close to an ambulance
anyone on the list go on the record in a personal manner and degrade a town employee without an investigation
anyone on the list go around saying if you dont like it sue us......
anyone on the list other then when they were eight lie about getting in trouble " ambushed"?
anyone on the list get a nine thousand dollar raise this year and now attends the meetings in patronage
you get the point..... who should be ashamed of themselves??????????
remember when bruce was voted out of the chairmanship and it was slagerized as the power elite pushing him out.
maybe it was just that they saw then what we see now
a child with power who will not accept the truth

Actually, after it was all said and done, lawyers got that money. Barbara Haupt was left with little to show for all her time and effort but more bills.
