Bruce and boobie's venom has finally caught up with then.  The rag can not compete with these real newspapers.  It is sooo wonderful to see reputable journalists bringing the truth about Wareham and the local rag to light.  This is a good day for everyone!

What? You don't agree with the ragman that Mr. Unger must also be a self-serving journalist because he is writing the truth about Wareham? Ha ha.

Sorry Slager, you lose. You can't even begin to play with the big boys of journalism.

I await the spin.

HaHa...he may critique the real journalists but who reads his drible except us.  The Boston Globe, Herald and Standard Times certainly have a wider readership....What are you going to do now, Boobie?  Your hero is going down,  You can spin it all you want.  The destruction may finally be over.  With the other papers picking up the truth, no one will be interested in what you have to write anymore.

UNGER'S MONEY QUOTE:

"And the local press, including a weekly newspaper and Web site that serve as the unofficial mouthpiece of the board chairman and an alternative Web site that delights in heaping abuse on that chairman and the publisher of that weekly, is chronically hysterical."

For a local major newspaper to finally, FINALLY call the Ragman out on the carpet is something I never thought I'd see in my lifetime.

The local non-rag press' eyes have finally been pried open to the shenanigans of the BS twins.  It's bittersweet.  Bitter it took this long, sweet that it finally happened.

Unger had many money quotes:

"And, best of all, Selectmen Chairman Bruce Sauvageau, who holds the most powerful elected post in town, apparently believes paying taxes himself is optional: He owes the federal and state government at least $180,000 in taxes and penalties while showing himself to be the most profane and intemperate bully you'll find this side of — well, Richard Nixon."

And the funny thing is, at least Nixon paid his taxes!

"Town administrators who don't kiss the bosses' behinds enthusiastically enough get canned, costing the town more than $35,000 in severance pay — as reported by this newspaper." - writes Unger.

Wareham has been without a full time permanent Town Administrator for 3 years since Hartman's canning in 2006.  It's either been interims or McAullife, who was brought into town like the Pope when the BOS thought he'd do their bidding and road out of town on a rail like the Devil Incarnate when he publicly disagreed with Bruce on statewide television.

By the way, McAulliffe was ousted a year ago now - how long does it take to begin a search for another victim, er TA?

This is the asshole who always preached how "immoral" fees are. Now this asshole thinks paying taxes is also immoral. He thinks it is only moral to owe $180,000 in back taxes. When will Wareham wake up?

The BOS engaged in their usual conflict of interest while playing the crusaders to reduce their sewer bills at the expense of all the other departments.   However, reducing the available revenue played right into their hands.  If there is no revenue, they can punish employees and act as if they had no control over the situation.

I LOVED THE ARTICLE AND IT SHOWS WHAT BRUCE HAS BEEN DOING TO THIS TOWN AND WHY IT MUST STOP. THE ONLY CLARIFICATION SHOULD BE IS THAT AFTER THE INCIDENT WITH BRUCE'S WIFE MRS PILLSBURY RECEIVED TWO THREATENING PHONE CALLS TO DO PHYSICAL HARM TO HER FROM BRUCE (THIS WAS IN THE PAPERS) . IT WAS AFTER THAT SEVERAL MEMBERS OF THE BOS COULD NOT STAND FOR A SELECTMAN THREATENING ANOTHER SELECTMAN AND DID THEIR BEST TO REMOVE HIM FROM HIS CHAIRMANSHIP. THAT BOARD HAD BEEN DEALING WITH BRUCE'S SHENANGIANS WAY TOO LONG ALREADY AND THE REST OF THE TOWN FINALLY NOW SEES WHAT THEY WERE DEALING WITH.
