Two people have sent along news, absent any other details, that the purpose built market launched by AD Makepeace in 2006 will close.

Can anyone verify this?

Does appear Kim Houdlette, the market's manger, was recently promoted to "Manager of Agricultural Diversification".

Dan,

Do I sense a little bit of turmoil  in you comment about A.D. Makepeace ????

They are an honorable company that has succeeded inspite of the political hacks on the BOS.  Go ahead and call them bad because they had a success when negotiating for sewer capicity.  The past Wareham officials never acted on behalf of the residents and taxpayers.........they had their own agenda.

Good for Makepeace and success to the American business people !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is too bad if they close the market as it is an asset to the community.  Every time a business closes because of the repressive Federal, State and Local government actions, it helps destroy out country.  Maybe they will call it Moscow or some other foolish name when we let the government on any level destroy our way of life with Liberalisim and Socialisim.

I hope this isn’t true. I never went there a lot it’s kind of out of the way for me. They did make great sandwiches and they were the only place I knew that sold the mix to make lime rickies at home.
I don’t know how many people they employ but any loss of jobs is a sad thing in this economy.
