after being told time after time there is no money for the rank and file policmen  to get a raise ,they voted to go to obertration .  morale is bad at the police dept.  after getting no raises , after running around in unsafe poice cars and working in unsafe conditions because of severe cuts in there police ranks , they said we are mad as hell and we are not going to take it any more , so they voted to go to ober tration.         i guess there is only money for deick  sullivan as he will get a 20% raise every year for 3 years  while the police get nothing .   i dont think the poice are asking any where near a 60 % raise over 3 years .     an entry level poiceman gets only 16 dollars  an hour  .an entry level policman will gett about 33 thousand dollars  a year while  derick  will get  180 thousand dollars a tear .    you could hire 6 policmen a  year with what they pay derick .    or you could buy 5 or 6 police cars  with the same amount if money.
