Hi all...this is Tim Weisberg here...I'm sure some of you remember my name, ha ha.
Anyway, I just wanted to make you all aware of a new venture started by myself and fellow Wareham High grad called WarehamRadio.com.

The website will feature streaming audio and video that can be accessed both online at www.warehamradio.com and on any Android or iPhone (the Ustream service that we use doesn't currently support Blackberry). If you can't access the site directly on your phone's browser, you can get the Ustream app for free from www.ustream.tv. Shows will air live and also be archived as well.

Currently, we're running some Old Time Radio shows and locally-produced music while we work out licensing issues. But we also want video and audio TALK SHOWS as well. Whether it be about a hobby of yours, or local news and politics, the opportunity is there for YOU to have your voice heard. It's free of charge, we do hope to eventually sell ads for the purpose of increasing the money we can put back into the site (for example, the licensing fees for music and upgrading our Ustream service to ad-free broadcasting, just to name a few). There may be a chance for hosts to make a little something somewhere down the line, but for now consider it a platform and something that can (hopefully) get the support of the entire town!

Please, if you'd like to host a show, email us at warehamradio@gmail.com so we can set it up for you. It's easy to do, all you need is a microphone on your computer (if you want to do audio only) or a webcam (if you want video). There are step-by-step instructions already posted on our site, so you can see just how simple it is to broadcast with us from the comfort of your own home or office.
