The Boston Globe unveiled its new website this morning and it's a stunning departure from any other newspaper site. Too bad they're broke, run a skeleton staff and ignore markets like ours. Take a look.

OK, give them props on the website, but
I dropped them after over 35 years as a print subscriber. Why? steadily shrinking content at steadily increasing prices. At last check, a home delivery subscription (I know its a dinosaur), had clinbed to $500-600 per year range. I subscribe to the Wall Street Journal for a bit more than half od the Globe's price. More & better stuff at a lower price. Works for me.
The website at Boston.com was free, at least. But now, they boot you after certain minimum number of articles and/or time. OK. its their website; but, do they have to crash my computer when they kick me out?
There is still the Herald free online. for now.
