That would have been the dishonest thing to do; not appearing was not dishonest. His attorney would have advised him to stay home if he had one, but why spend money on an attorney if you agree that you owe the debt in the first place? Of course, the hateblogger's won't address the issue of WHY he owe's so much to a CC bank; no work and a family to support tends to force many American families into that no win situation. By the way, this debt was incurred during his tenure as Selectman exactly because he was brutalized by people like two of his fellow selectmen on the Q.T. So, this is just a long diatribe of stupidity and ignorance but a few things:
1) Sweet Brucey, no lawyer in the world worth his salt is going to advise a client to just skip a court date and not do anything about it. "Yeah, just skip it, ignore it and it'll go away." Jesus Christ, I can't believe you say things like this and then wonder why you haven't passed the bar yet. Fetuses that have yet to be born are going to pass the bar before you do.
2) Sweet Brucey, I had never heard before that Mike's son had been accused of lighting a fire on school "proerty." Did you mean property? I don't think many other people knew either, but thanks for giving us the info...idiot.
3) This guy is one lousy speller.

Let's see. His 'tenure' has been five (5) whole months since April. Yet, Citibank filed in the Plymouth County Registry of Deeds in MAY. So, is Brucie the self-proclaimed legal guru (sans actual passing of the bar -- details, details) trying to convince the masses that all of this financial turmoil struck Mikey in a mere 4-week span? This is why the Bowel Movement in Wareham is so dangerous: some people actually buy into the Brucie Bullshit.
Here is an equally absurd hypothesis. the "two of his fellow selectmen" engaged Mikey in high-stakes poker games after BoS meetings. Or, in a cut-throat game of 'hearts' at a dollar a point. Unlike Maverick, Mikey was cleaned out by these card sharks. After a few months of getting cleaned out after the BoS meetings. Mikey couldn't make good on his IOUs. Time to get out of Town!
