Someone needs to ask our less than esteemed Town Administrator what he did with the $6,000 we appropriated for library computers at Town Meeting two years ago.
I walked across the street this morning and found patrons backed up waiting to use the few serviceable systems remaining. Even the circulation desk was limping along on one machine.
When I asked what the deal was all I got were shrugs and, "Ask the TA."

This Is A Damm Shame The Freinds Used To Purchase For The Library Also Computors From Book Sales,but For A Long Time They Were Not Alowed To Have Book Sales At The Library ,they Were Crooks You See , Some Of Jane Donahues And Brendas Library Haters Were Put In At The Library As Trustess Like Lise Carmody Kate Fuler , Martha Strachan , Mike Flatery ,there Mission To Screw The Libray And Bring It Down AND IN THAT THEY SUCCEDED

This Libray Is No Longer A Gem ,kids Have Riped Off Shingles ,ripped Off Stairs And And Banisters.

That's a larger problem, Red. Adolescents hang behind the library every afternoon during the school year on a playground meant for kids half their age. I see it out my front window every day. Teenagers; in other words, chronic fuckups. Not bad kids, most of them, just no place to go.
Cruisers are dispatched to sit back there and babysit from time to time, to what purpose I dunno.
It gets too bad, I'll wander over and deliver a thou-shall-not-shit-in-your-own-nest billy sunday sermon and distribute maps to easy walks in this town where no one will ever find you.
