Still laughing.  God what an imbecile.  I can't wait to hear the story of how this happened.  No doubt it will be hysterical.

So sayeth the bobo.

If someone needs money for a defense fund...let me know.

Bobo The Hobo wrote:

Yes, because we fell behind by $1,500 in state filing fees the state temporarily dissolved the structure of the corporation. The Observer was never out of business. It simply became a sole proprietorship. The issue has been addressed. The overdue filing fees have been sent to the state, along with all the necessary paperwork, and it is business as usual once again.

I consulted a lawyer. Usually, this an expensive and painful proposition. This time, though, I found three attorneys in 10 minutes, all eager to respond immediately for free.

Robert Slager is lying.

Once you've recovered from the shock and surprise, consider:

The Annual Corporate filing fee is $125, $150 if paid late.

http://www.sec.state.ma.us/cor/corfees.htm

Observer Media LLC, according to the Secretary of State, hasn't filed an Annual Report since 2007, meaning Slager is past due only $600 for 2008-2011, not the $1,500 he claims.

Ah, free legal advice.

Another attorney, also not a friend of Mr Slager's, called to suggest the other three shysters are full of crap and maybe, just this once, Bobo's numbers are right. That leaves three questions.

Who gives a fuck?

Who's underwriting Bobo's Hobo debt?

How are all these lawyers finding my number?

I most humbly regret any embarrassment this may have caused, warranted or not.

An interesting question to look into would be whether or not he still has the legal protection of a corporation to hide behind.

If he is a sole proprietorship his exposure, personally, and liability, personally, are increased substantially.

Not smart, if true.

Funny how Wareham Week, Wareham Courier, and the Standard Times have never had this problem.  But then again, those papers are run by competent business people and are turning profits.

I will always wonder how an unemployed loser whose house almost got foreclosed on and sold at public auction comes up with $1,500 to save a profitless business...
