I heard that when John's sister was hired for her position, she was totally out of her league.  She was far behind in her work load, not knowledgable enough so they hired an assistant, who is more qualified, to help her.  I'd like a job like that.

Run for Town Clerk in April, 2013. The position is ceremonial, like royalty, demands not a lick of work, its office functions entirely managed by serfs.

Geez, Bill ~ I don't think I could handle that job.  I like to work.  At the end of the week when the paychecks are handed out, I want to be able to say I earned it!

I don't know, justme. Sounds like a "cushy gig"..serfs at your beck and call.. Maybe I'll take a shot (better watch your back. MAS)!! ..Is there a "Town Clerk" class I can take (anyone but "Professor Bobo", please).. Maybe I can get the title changed from "Town Clerk"..to "Town Czar" (with the serfs, and all).

DDPTRO ~ were you bored today?  My great grandfather sent my grandfather to the USA at 17 so that he wouldn't have to fight for the Czar.  I would have to unfriend you rather than call you that.  Crown Prince I could handle.

Haha.. How old are you, justme?? That was what, 1905? Not for nothing..but was Russia better off with a Czar before the bolsheviks and then communism? Too bad Democracy didn't "take root". But, as far as serfdom (basically, slavery) "going away" .. Russia was a "late-comer" to "emancipation" of the serfs..but, they did "beat" the US (Slavery/Civil War) by about four years, I think. (I just love playing "devil's advocate" ;)
No serfs in Wareham!! How's that?

You two are both crazy, but you make me laugh so I'll keep you as friends. lol  Not Russian, but Russia took over parts of surrounding countries.  You are almost on target with your date, DDPTRO.  My grandfather was born in late 1800's, married grandmother (20 yrs younger) in 1925.  First child born in 1926, fourth and last in 1934.  Their first grandchild was born in 1946 and last one in 1964.  I'm somewhere in between those dates.   Dan, you could have left off the "a little bit".   :)
