I attended a funeral this morning so I was already glum when a dear friend called afterward to say, among other things, fuck Wareham and the whores it rode in on. My friend refuses to watch local news, websites or papers, or talk to anyone involved and she was making an exception for me. Lucky me. Every other person I know and love in Wareham now sings the same sad song. "You've known drunks and drug addicts," she said. "There's no cure unless they want one, and these morons don't."

No, they don't, not as long they can spin their happy little frauds free of prying eyes and certain censure.

Any idea at all how to turn this around and get good people engaged again?
