Thanks for the posting. There is some interesting reading in there.

For one: the reduction in the Town's contribution to the Plymouth County retirement System, of around $200,000. (note: there are two different numbers in the data). Wonder if that takes into account the impact of Chief Stanley retiring from Wareham, instead of N. Andover? Some of the retirement calculation rules have changed, which may account for the Stanley waffle & procrastination regarding his short-term future.

And: the Wareham Water Pollution Control Facility has its Admin fee to the Town zeroed out. Nice of the Town's taxpayers to subsidize the sewer users, doncha think? read ANY data on the structure of an enterprise fund, and it is clear that they are meant to stand on their own. See: www.mass.gov. Ex. Where do the bills for the sewer users come from? That would be the collector's office, the same place that the payments go to. Where is the contribution to the cost of running that office from the enterprise fund, to cover the marginal ( a term from Econ 101, right Bridgewater Jones?) costs created by the requirement to bill/collect the sewer bills? It is supposed to be in the Admin fee.

It is your Town, your budget, and ultimately...YOUR tax bill. That's why you need to know.
