Once upon a time, Wareham was a quiet little town where people settled their differences in a respectful and calm manner. That all changed when a certain non-resident and non-voting vampire came to town. He slowly but surely sucked the life out of the citizens of Wareham with his distortion and uncanny ability to create a story by twisting the truth. However, he was not alone. There were others who desired the same thing. While the citizens grew tired of the constant lies and attacks on private citizens, they became apathetic. It was at this time the “others” made their move. With the help of the vampire, they assumed leadership roles for the sleep little town.
Over time, the citizens grew frustrated by how the town was being dissolved (did you catch that Mr. Moderator) and desired the happy times that wafted through the town like a sweet summer breeze. This angered the vampire and the “others”. They recruited more of the dubious citizens to their cause and began a full force attack on the frustrated citizens. They would distort the truth, openly attack private citizens and candidates that stood against the “others” and use the vampire to claim it isn’t so! The sleep little town became a battleground.
Many citizens braved the attacks by the vampire and his coven despite the suffering and pain it caused. Their desire to rid the town of those who were sucking the life out of the citizens far outweighed their personal discomfort. The battle was fierce. Friendships and family were torn apart as the vampire looked on with his evil smile. This is what he craved! Chaos, mistrust, and hatred fueled his sickness. The vampire and the “others” plotted many ways to destroy the citizens while furthering their greedy ways.
The citizens became stronger, slowly starving the vampire by waking up more citizens. They became stronger than the vampire and the “others”. Fear shook this group. The “others” put up a façade of cooperation while hiding their true intentions. The citizens were not fooled. The vampire was not pleased. He worked harder to vilify those brave citizens but they would not crumble.
On one bright day in April, the “others” and the vampire found out that they could no longer control or bully the citizens. The “others” went back to their secret place to plot ways to regain control but sadly realized it was fruitless to try. The vampire stole away in the middle of the night leaving a trail of broken promises and empty lies. He never looked back because his spell had been broken and the citizens of Wareham lived happily ever after.

Frogs,
Spring is a time of rebirth and renewal. Nature wakes up from it's long winter slumber. There is purpose and steely resolve to usher in the new and rid ourselves of the burdens that slow us down.
Tell a neighbor, a friend, and a loved one to show up on Tuesday, April 6th, and start the change.

Should things go wrong at any time, the people will set them to rights by the peaceable exercise of their elective rights.
