Thank you 4dognite! The money I spent on my membership to The Observer has been completely worth it. I know some may disagree. Please let me enlighten you.

For those who would like to read Cara Winslow's posts on the "other site" just click on user list, scroll to CaraWinslow, then show all posts. Just printed up some interesting reading, Cara posted a thread "Selectmen and Slager allowed to stay" dated 2009-07-30 19:30:25 This is the day after B.Brady's July meeting for "like minded people"
Cara was disappointed that the WPD didn't forcibly remove the BOS and Slager and thinks B.Brady should demand a refund.Further down #40 is a suggestion from one of Wareham's finest suggesting how to get people arrested or removed from a meeting
My favorite by far is post #55 by our own Dan O'Connell on how to manipulate Mr. Cruz. I think I'll give this to Mr. Cruz, he may find it enlightening.
Oh let's not forget Mr. Holmes: he had quite a "speech" at B.Brady's meeting. He conducted a tirade against people NOT PERMITTED TO RESPOND". Is that your campaign platform Cara and Steve? You get speak but not listen? You post on a site that promotes nazi imagery, horrific insults, rumors, hate filled rhetoric and have the audacity to accuse anyone of being disingenuous? Really?

4dognite, who is speaking and not listening? You not only twisted the written words of at least one of the candidates but you yourself have gone on attack after attack after attack on all the challengers. Does it make it okay because you are on a private pay site so the whole world can't see what you write? Where did either Steve or Cara write that anyone was disingenous? You claim to want to move Wareham forward so I have taken the time to copy and paste both Steve and Cara's comments below.

Please read the posts Cara made that you refer to:
"Personally I do not have a problem speaking my mind in front of anyone, but I understand some do. The issue here is much greater than that and I wonder if the BOS and Slager understand the precedent they just set.
When a private citizen PAYS to rent a facility they are responsible for that facility and have control over who enters and who doesn't.
Now, here are some questions raised by their actions, when the Girl Scouts meet can anyone attend? What if that person is a registered sex offender but pays taxes in Wareham?
If someone's ex-spouse has their wedding in the school (believe it or not it happens) can the other spouse crash the party?
The problem is now that when the police did not remove the guests who Mr. Brady asked to be removed (for whatever reasons I do not know) a precedent was set. Now how does any group or private citizen get an unwanted individual removed from this facility? And how does the school justify charging a fee when the renter does not truley have control over the venue?
Unfortunately I could not sit in the seats, after taking a bad fall down my back steps this weekend, the injuries proved too painful to stay long and I am looking forward to hearing what transpired after I left.
I do however have grave concerns over the schools ability to charge a fee for rent to anyone and then deny the renter the ability to control their own forum. I believe Mr. Brady is due a refund of his $300.00."
"It was hard to tell, Marcia Griswald came in and seemed to have a group there, maybe half and half. Lots of faces I did not recognize, but that doesn't mean they are BOS supporters! There was no formal protest, I saw John D and Cruz outside and then I saw John D and Jane inside (even had a little conversation with Jane). They were not sitting together, but spread out.
Bob asked if anyone felt intimidated no one raised their hands, like they would!
Frank DeFelice made a motion and there was talk of not letting any opposition speak, but I stood up and said that wasn't fair, because it isn't and that the meeting should be rescheduled. They went forward and I am following it on Twitter."
*NOTE: She says she stood up and said it wasn't fair to not allow them to speak.
"I have to admit I didn't want to go in and be a part of a spectacle. I just want to see some change in a positive direction, specifically I want to see vacancies filled with strong candidates, fiscal restraint when it comes to litigation, a community round table to produce viable ideas for getting beyond this fiscal crisis, true listening and action when it comes to complaints such as the ones about Crime Watch, and real open dialogue.
I do not support a recall for a number of reasons and I will not run in a recall. I may never run again, that decision is a long way off! But I am tired of all of the negative press we get when what we need is strong industry, tourism, and a plan for the future!"
Those are the only posts made by Cara on that thread, where exactly does she say she is disappointed? She says she has concerns over the precedent set, concerned is not disappointed. And where does she say Bob Brady should demand a refund? She says she believes Bob Brady is due a refund, her opinion (one I don't agree with for the record). Again saying she believes something is a far cry from demanding. Let's just be honest here.

Next let's see what Steve wrote:
"I would like to thank Bob Brady for organizing, leading and conducting a very constructive meeting last night, giving many of us a chance to speak out about our government and it's leaders. I look forward to working with Bob to continue to educate our community on the actions of our leadership.

We all can continue to have a conversation about our community and take the high road as Bob did last night, by allowing the meeting to go forward. Our current leaders needed to hear the comments of the citizens, so this morning a fresh start, let's see if they really heard what we had to say. Each one of those leaders have been given a second chance to listen to the citizens, we will soon see if they will.

I really enjoy my Searay240 so I will continue to post under that name but have added a signature.

Thanks again Bob, give me a call, I will be more than happy to organize the group here in Onset.

Best of luck to us all.

Steve"
Sounds pretty rational to me. Does anyone have the audio of the meeting? I would like to hear Steve's "tirade" personally.

Next up, post # 40 made by a poster "TBL", identified by Ellen as one of "Warehan's finest", coincidentally I always thought this poster was my neighbor!
"A suggestion for any future meetings. Rent a place out of town just over the border where the police will not be afraid of retaliation or smearing for making an arrest for tresspassing. Maybe at that veteran center in downtown Bourne. Out of town police will have no reason to be afraid to arrest Wareham selectmen."
Not sure where she gets the connection from nor does this appear to be a lesson in how to get people arrested.

I am not sure what Dan's post has to do with this but here it is for all to see:
"Now is the time to reach out to Mr. Cruz.
If he knows that he has people behind him, he will act differently.
See if you can make a friend of him. Find out where he is coming from and what he envisions for Wareham's future.
Now is the time to be inclusive. Reaching out to the only Cape Verdean on the BOS sounds reasonable and wise to me.
According to all accounts there were a lot of Cape Verdeans at your meeting last night. It's not an accident that Mr. Cruz was elected to office. Find someone who knows him and sit down with him. If he ishares your vision, welcome him and seek his support. No incumbent Selectman is going to support any opposition of a sitting Selectman, unless there is a serious problem.
However, there is nothing negative about having a friend on the BOS, and it would be nice to know that, after the election and your two new Selectmen are elected, they have a third vote on the Board.
Power."

You don't have to like Steve or Cara or Dan or police officers or even yourself for that matter. Twisting words which are there for all to see isn't fair. Your post is an attack based on your interpretation of others words. What you said and what was actually posted do not match up.

Thanks again 4dognite, I had been a fan of your idea to move Wareham forward, but we both know that this type of stuff isn't helping anyone. I understand you support the incumbents. That is your right. I don't. That is my right. Can we at least agree on that?

And here is the post on the Courier site from Michael Schneider, co-founder of Move Wareham Forward:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the items Mr. Curry lists in his LTE as the initial reason for the audit:

1)GDF scope would consist of who is blogging on Town Hall computers to Whitehouse site.

Item 1. would certainly be illegal if employees were utilizing illegaly obtained Cori reports and providing that information to bloggers on Bill Whitehouse's site. Theft of time, civil rights violations, and violation of privacy laws also come to mind.

2)Who is using company time to be on the internet. (See #1 above)

3)Name search of selectman to see who is investigating them. (see number 1. above)

4)Outside businesses being run on town computers.

While running an outside business during work hours might not rise to the same level of illegaly performing Cori's, civil rights violations, or privacy law violations, it certainly would be considered theft of time/wages from the town. In addition, perhaps one of the businesses being operated was a porn website similar to the one run by the owner of the birthplace of the 'Take Back Wareham' campaigns of Steve Holmes, Cara Winslow, and the anonymous bloggers. That site is owned by Bill Whitehouse. www.highstreet.org.

5)Double log vs. private log at police station.

Wow! I really don't know what to say about number 5. except, WOW!

6)Who is performing Cori, DMV, outside searches of selectmen and Mr. Coleman.

Performing unauthorized Cori or DMV searches on ANYONE is illegal. We should all be very, very, afraid of this very, very, serious crime.

Thank goodness the BOS had the presence of mind to hire a fully competent indipendent third party to handle the investigation.

Sounds like Mr. Curry is trying to hide/protect something/somebody. Let's hope the IG takes a hard look at MR. Curry also.

A question just sprang to mind: does the Town even HAVE a computer/internet usage policy to be followed by Town employees?  If so, has anyone read it, and have Town employees ever been required to sign off on the policy form?

I normally would assume there is one, but let's just say that in the last few years I've learned not to assume anything when it comes to the way things are done in Wareham.

And if the answer is "no," then things could get even more bizarre than they already are, in several ways.

Pete:
The answer is that the town does have a policy but it has been unenforced. In the eyes of the law, an unenforced policy is no policy at all. Let me know if you need the case info on that ruling.
Basically, the town is on a witch hunt, looking for any reason to fire anyone because well how dare they work and get paid with tax payer dollars?

Let's see, an up-coming election, IG investigation, computer disk audit, AG investigation, cover up for school bus safety: there are some very scared people in town right now and they are whipping their attack dogs (puppets) into a frenzy.
Winslow is a moderator on Whitehouse's site and going for a second run , Holmes is a (not so vocal, but prolific poster) supporter of the TBW crew, Smith's moderating experience is moderating one secret invitation only recall meeting and Conway is without a clue. What a group.

"Building Bridges"

(cuckoo..cuckoo.cuckoo)..I am mentioned (also) as a "moderator" here..news to me..Are you holding out on me Bill? Gimme those extra-special "abilities" that come with "moderating". Are they saying that I/we have the "ability" to ban others? To remove comments?? If I can do that (and more)..I sure wasn't aware of it..now on my site..that's a different matter..No TinHat Loonies Allowed..I decree!! (Then again no one posts there but me)..Have a pleasant Tuesday everyone..ONE MORE WEEK!!!
