It is my understanding that another Larry has been soliciting signatures at the Multi-Service Center. This is NOT a petition. From one of the signees (who has since recanted), these are nominations papers for David Smith and his campaign for State Rep.

Is anyone familiar with the rules for soliciting signatures in a government facility? If so, could you share them with us? :)

Read and be careful what you sign!

Rip Dinkle is on vacation in France learning new methods of preparing roasted duck, so I am filling in for him! Bon Appetit!

Good afternoon!

I am not aware of any proscription regarding collecting signatures on nomination papers within government buildings. I have seen that done many times in many places. town dumps were always a favorite on Saturday mornings, way back when we had town dumps. If there is a rule and/or law against it, it is certainly widely ignored.
