the town acct is quoted as saying that many town depts did not have good accounting practices ,i say rubbish if this town is being run good now then how come there are so many positions not filled ,when joe murphey was town adminsterator every town dept had the money to run there depts ,this new town adminsterator in his last job the town was depply in dept , and this acct is full of crap she is nothing but a book keeper with out a degree, these 2 the ta and the town book keeper are nothing but stooges of the current selectman and are doing the bidding of the selectman in there relelection.. i ask you this question do you feel the town is being run better now or when joe murphy was the ta ,the answer has to be clear, these people hand picked buy these bad selectman know the ta and town acct know they have to tow the lineof the selectman , do you feel better now or do you feel better when joe murphey ran things ,

I am still wondering how she got the job, after all, she doesn't meet the minimum qualifications but neither did the TA. It is much easier to control people who don't know!

I don't know Ms Zaleski. I have no idea of her background. Based on the posted qualifications for the job, it is my understanding she did not have the required credentials. I do recall the Selectmen meeting where it was asked if she had an accounting degree and brenda replied, "I don't remember". That is direct contrast to Brenda's latest letter to the editor recalling (in detail) the reasons Ms. Zaleski stood out over other applicants. I have no reason to question her work ethic. Again, if she did not meet the minimum qualifications, it doesn't matter about her work ethic.
When newspapers or any media source quote a Town Accountant on her opinion of the quality of accounting services, I would expect a vast amount of experience and knowledge of GAAP and how they are applied.
Just for the record, if I was Bob Bliss, I would save all the articles. The town has already had to settle with him once, it looks like they may have to again.
