Get it done today, and be ready for April!

WAREHAM - The last day to register to vote for the Jan. 19 election is Wednesday, Dec. 30.

The town clerk's office will be open until 8 p.m. for that express purpose. This would be the opportunity to register to vote, change party information or change address.

Also, absentee ballots are now available in the town clerk's Office. One has up until 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, to apply for an absentee ballot. Anyone who chooses not to vote at the clerk's office needs to have the absentee ballot mailed to his or her home. No one will be allowed to hand-carry a ballot home. Once it is mailed and the voter receives it, they can then hand-carry it back to the office, up until 8 p.m., when the precincts close. A voter cannot hand-carry it to a precinct. The ballot must first be brought to the town clerk's office. The staff will then transport the ballot to the appropriate polling location. Anyone with questions can call 508-291-3140.
