Still no news on why the Selectmen were served? :) Just maybe that is behind the story on Slager's site? Distraction has worked for them in the past.....

Who is suing the Selectmen??????  Inquiring minds want to know!

Taken directly from the wareham observer:

"Towing company sues town, selectmen

Murphy’s Towing and Recovery has filed a lawsuit against the town of Wareham and the Board of Selectmen after the company was denied entry on the town’s tow list.
According to the lawsuit, which was filed in Plymouth Superior Court on Oct. 27, the town violated the due process and equal protection rights of the company when the Board of Selectmen issued a ruling in February, 2008, stating that because Murphy’s Towing was located in Rochester it therefore could not be placed on Wareham’s towing list.
According to the plaintiff, Murphy’s had a signed lease agreement for a storage yard in Wareham where Chip’s Towing had previously operated. The plaintiff further stated that because Chip’s Towing was actually located in Rochester and had previously been included on the Wareham tow list, a precedent had been set that should have afforded Murphy’s the same opportunity.
Neither the town nor the selectmen would comment on the suit as the complaint had not yet been read by Town Counsel."
