The Hammond School is now accepting coats and jackets, new or used, of any size but in good condition during the entire month of November.  The coats will be available to anyone at no cost during the months of December-February. For questions, please call Mrs. Owen at the school at 508.291.3565.  To drop off coats, use the school's Union Avenue entrance.

MsLilly, how are these coats distributed?  Is it Wareham residents only?  Is this effort outside the scope of the Old Navy thing?

Thanks,
-Cas

Kinsailman...you're very welcome for the info...

nal...you too...and thanks for "kicking it off " by planning on dropping coats off this week...

aco...I know that those in need can go directly to the school to pick up the coats, but I'm not sure exactly what organizations the school notifies, though I believe they are all local...I can find out...

PShooter...need dentures yet????

Thanks...

Are you asking because you're giving a set away with the coats, or because of the entertaining ladies I added?
"Hey sista, go sista, soul sista, flow sista "

Never mind, I'm good either way.

Usually Wareham folks, but they won't turn anyone away that needs a coat to keep warm.  This, as far as I know, has nothing to do with Old Navy.  It's been going on for years now.  If O.N. donates the old coats to the area schools, that would be great.

On this Sat 11/14 we will be stationed in the parking lot of Shaws from 9am until noon collecting any clothes items you have.

Please bring them in plastic bags. We will sort it out and get the clothes to the school and turning point.

I know many of you already have lots of bags. If for some reason you cannot carry them or get them to us on Sat please call me 508-536-5612 and we will make arrangemens to pick them up.

We all have clothes we are no longer wearing these are two great causes please help.Don't leave them hanging in your closets while others have nothing to wear.

Thanks for your generosity.

Steve, are you collecting only clothes, or other items as well?

Great to see that we're starting up the "good" threads again...I was worried that we had all gotten distracted.  Thanks for this, Steve

We will be in the Shaws lot from 9-noon on Saturday. Look for the balloon on the Expeditions.

Given our capacity of the Ford Expeditions for Saturday drop off we will be taking, clothes, blankets, towels, winter GLOVES are a big item too, hats, scarfs etc.

Again if you have more than you can bring let us know, call 508-536-5612 and I will make arrangements to get it picked up.

If you have other items, please call, and we will find a home for them through some of the groups.

We heard Larry last night at the BOS meeting, and the message seems to be the same almost everywhere, the cupboards are bare, and there are many looking for help. Please give generously.

Thank you again.
