Housing projects

The Patrick administration is earmarking some $50 million in federal stimulus money to jump-start stalled affordable housing projects in Amherst, Charlton, Chelmsford, Lunenberg, Plymouth, Wareham, Watertown, West Boylston, Westfield and Worcester.

So, add these 49 to a potential of 40 more if Bay Pointe/Art. 22 passes, and they (the Town, on land donated by Bay Pointe) develop affordable housing there. Even those who support Westfield solely on the basis of the need for affordable housing in Wareham should see there are better alternatives.

In the article it mentioned if certain permits have expired it would take several MONTHS to get new permits. Why does it take so long to get permits?
