i suppose old  fattey will be filling out forms for food , and fuel assistance also .its like putting the fox in charge of the chickens,   ihope when she gets some new clothing it will not be another velvet dresss, if she wasnt so mean and lazy she would not have been cold and hungry, buy the looks of old fattey i doubt she has been going hungry .

She knows what it's like to be cold and hungry.

Odd, she didn't until about a year ago.  I wonder what happened?  Stop and Shop doesn't accept light bulbs as payment?

She has been getting F.A.. When she started her paper, she barely, if ever, broke even.  Like working for nothing.  After paper established itself, she got very little $ after paying printer, etc.    Did you know that the cheapest foods, macaroni, pasta, etc. are full of starch which is sugar in your body.  A lot of poor people are obese for just this reason.  check it out on webmd.

born of Wareham I see your point and i know you feel that you are trying to rise above by sympathizing with ms. Pezzoli.  I don't know her personally  And like you i don't necessarily agree with categorically picking on the poor or obese.   However what i believe is going on here is some reveling in some returned karma.

I remember all too well  the good people who were attacked in her columns   ....   glass houses stones and all that.  I guess my point is if you don't want to be a target of criticism don't start a newspaper that focuses on such things.

WHY DOES SHE NEED FUEL ASSISTANCE SHE HAS ENOUGH LARD TO LAST HER 6 WINTERS AND SHE HAS PLENTY OF WAREHAM OBSERVERS TO BURN.

I am repeating myself, but I have no sympathy for Liz Pezzoli.  I do not like name calling, although admit to some about Slager, myself.  There was a point in time that she could have changed her life around.  She chose to go another route.  I have seen her pick people apart in her columns.  Once about a family member and once very close to me.  Believe me, we had serious words.  Actually, we have had serious words about stories she wrote that I thought were uncalled for.        I believe Karma is the exact word for what is being said about her.  Is it her due?  Probably, yes.  I feel for one particular family.  They knew her well, even helped her and in her stupidity she attacked an area that surrounded this family.

This is the very chance she had to turn her life around.  Start a newspaper.  At first, it was light, a little comical at times and also very informative.  Giving a little political jab once in a while never hurt, but at some point Liz became bitter.  TM Donahue was always a target and I KNOW her sources were definately not gossip.  I can only think or imagine that this gave her a sense of power and gave her the mental green light to go after others.  I really don't know and I doubt that she does either.  As I said before, Liz felt that what she said was right and you would get over it.  I still haven't, but I do speak when I see her.  Years back, she would tell us stories of certain events in Wareham - or elsewhere - and we would cry from laughing so hard.  That Liz is gone.  I don't think she will be back, either.  Her little newspaper that she enjoyed doing so much, became a political hotbed.  Her little newspaper went from her cats, friends, neighbors, dogs at Little Harbor, etc. to a rag.

That I am sorry about, because I enjoyed reading it.  I hope that some of the people she has hurt can let go - not forgive - just let it go.  What they feel for her will eat them up, like a bad disease.  She is not worth it, anymore.
