Since I never registered on high-street I have no idea how the email could have originated from there.

People, while good to look at all angles and consider whether its a trick or an attempt to give you computer cooties, also consider the angle that it might be an actual good samaritan who thought of something we didn't and wanted to express his concern about it.
Not to mention, if you look up what he's talking about, you realize that the potential for joke material is endless.
