Anyone know why http://www.wareham.ma.us/Public_Documents/index is offline more often than not?

Bill, the site is hosted on a shared server with over 70 other towns.  A partial list of towns that are shared with it is here: http://www.myipneighbors.com/search/check  - it's a third party hosting service that provides similar sites for many other towns.  That, and the fact that it's running Windows, are probably the two biggest contributors to the problems.

Whoops, just realized you have to put the URL in that field.  Sites that use POST for stuff like that drive me nuts...

Bill, it's not all that uncommon - there's really no interactivity on the site that I see, so processing power required is minimal.  My company hosts over 70 "brochureware" sites like this on individual servers where appropriate.  There is also one other possibility - the externally-facing IP address may be a Virtual IP (VIP) - There may be one address that all of these sites resolve to on the outside, but they could forward to individual servers on the backend.  No way to tell without knowing the architecture.
