Did anyone else hear that my neighbor, Ms. Bindas, put her house on the market?

The tax appraisal is $590,000.00.  Most houses that I have seen, have sold for less than the town's appraisal.  Doesn't she need to disclose that her foundation is cracking?

Beats me. Part of me hopes she gets a good price as it increases the value of surrounding houses!

But who would want to drive down Maple Springs to get to her house? Unless someone fixed the craters when we weren't looking. That would put some prospective buyers off.

My fingers are crossed though Larry. You've been through enough.

It is a shame that the road has gotten as bad as it has, but that could have been avoided. In the end, it will be fixed and life will return to normal (hopefully).

Let's start a fund and buy the house ourselves.

I wonder if now the town will rush to fix the road.  I also wonder if Bindas is serious about selling the house since they priced it $200,000.00 above market price. They probably put it on the market to see if they could get that much money and if not, they will stay...some people do that.

$700,000.00 sounds like a familiar figure, why is that? Well it is a small price to pay for them to move, in my first ammendment protected opinion.

TOO BAD THE DEBOCLE SHE CREATED WITH THE ROAD NOT BEING FIXED WILL PROBABLY BE HER UNDOING IN GETTING THAT KIND OF MONEY FOR HER HOME. PEOPLE WHO PAY THAT KIND OF MONEY DONT WANT CRATERS IN THE ROAD TO GET TO THEIR HOME.

Larry, this is the second time Bind-ass has done this.  She usually puts in on the market prior to an appearance before a board, then cires big crocodile tears at the meeting about selling her house.  For example, on 12/06/2007 she listed it for $689,000 with the broker who happened to be trying to selll another house on the road.  50 days later, she cancelled the listing on 1/25/08.  The reason???? She was apprearing before the BOS to cry about Tucy.  Her "partner", Jackie appeared also and nearly broke down explaining the psychological misery she was going through with the trucks driving by. She said, on camera, she nearly killed herself.  Damn, we missed an opportunity there.  So they said they just HAD to sell and leave, they were so miserable.

Now, mysteriously we now have Coldwell Banker listing her house, for even more money with a lower market and appraised value than before and why is it on the market?????  It's elementary, my dear Watson.  She and the partner are appearing before the Zoning Board of Appeals on August 12th, to continue to hold water for the butt monkey and the BOS in their continuing effort to terrorize our Building Inspector over his correct decision regarding the material Tucy is removing.  The ZBA has already ruled on this conclusively when the BOS brought their own appeal.

What do you bet it goes off market again in another 40-50 days????

Gosh, those girls are smart fellas!

Thank you John. I think you have it wrong. The BOS and ITA hold water for her. In the end, the bogs and rv park will still be here. Just like closing the road to commercial traffic, it doesn't work that way.

Just to keep count, the 10 mph speed limit is not legal so people speed down the road. If they left the correct speed limit sign and fixed the road, maybe we would all feel safer?

Check out any of the houses that have been sold, then check out the town's appraisals of the property and you will see that almost all of the houses have sold for less than the town's appraisals.

TBL

$500,000 for that house would be a reasonable price in this real estate market. Maybe even less.

How ironic would it be if these women can not sell their house due to the road that they themselves helped create.  Oh, irony.  The unfortunate part would be that we have to deal with them, ughhhh.
