Apparently, both are slated for various functions in Wareham during the next couple of weeks in late July. Seems the purposes may be for Democraptic and/or Town Meeting oriented functions (although locations & other details may not yet be available to the public). Is there a local Democraptic intention for such a meeting(s) to take place at this particular time? Could some of our concerns be equally addressed there as well? Have these events been in fact pre-arranged by the Democraptic Committee for their own benefit? How could these events serve to promote and encourage open government by more of the people?

I thought that Patrick was making his way for town meetings around the State; not just Wareham. This probably follows Patrick's agenda; not the DTC.

Maybe we should get signs and picket the place where they will be. I can see it now signs that say - Brucie owes 181,000 in taxes; Brenda sells her influence for campaign contributions; Jane makes up the minutes to executive session meetings; Cronan doesn't think he needs permits; and Cruz is asleep please be quiet and don't wake him.
Let's hear other ideas.

Mixie, I don't think Deval's team picked Wareham out of a hat to be part of his dozen or so Town Meetings. I think it's very much entwined with him being a Democrat how and the local Democraptic team relates to his. http://www.devalpatrick.com .
I won't be self centered though as to suggest it has anything to do with our current issues. I am only suggesting that we consider this an opportunity to equally voice our concerns in a positive and democratic way both in terms of the Deval Town Meeting and perhaps Barney too.

Deval Patrick and Barney Frank are in the pocket of John Donahue, they don't care about the corruption or open government, what they care about is votes and Johnny Boy brings them home.
This is a carefully staged act of the Communist Town Committee, there will be serious consequences for those who screw up Johnny's moment.
Personally I like the picket idea, but who do you think is going to carry a sign?

For what it's worth, here's what the Hull Town Meeting with Gov Patrick looked like last July, 2008: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zf2JJZb4VKM .
I think it would be a very good idea (even without picket signs and without discerning questions) to attend on July 29th. I agree it probably will be staged to a great extent. But to draw (attendance) numbers well beyond what the Communist Town Committee would expect (and I'm sure they have their numbers) would give them pause to realize their voting base has become a minority.
Perhaps in the spontaneity of it all, some good will happen. It could be a kickoff event for like minded citizens to meet again. If we expect to hold sway in April, this is a good way to get the ball rolling. Bring your friends and relatives too, dead or alive!
