They threw Jimmy under the bus 5 minutes into their meeting tonight. That's got to be a record. Check the tape, they unloaded alot of crap on the board of health and are now backpeddling because they now realize they had thrown some of that crap on Dr. Gleason, one of our town's finest citizens who is the reason why we have the YMCA. One of the many reasons why it's better to investigate claims of complaining citizens first before reacting to them willy nilly.
Also, the third time by my count that a board member, Cronan this time, has accused the library employees of only working 25 hours but being paid for 40. And Sanguinett again sat there and did not correct them. The library employees are putting in 40 hours a week, but they continue to slime them. Disgusting.
God, a year with Chairman Bruce. Isn't it Cronan's turn at bat, or did he not feel he could handle the challenge?

They sent Dr. Gleason a letter asking him to resign, nice way to treat one of our finest citizens, courtesy of our leaders.

It's so obvious. Once you're done being useful to them, they toss you under the bus. Jimmy was their good little water boy for three years. We all saw the meeting. They did what they always do - a person comes in, complains, and then they let loose with all kinds of crap instead of investigating all sides of the matter before they start opining. Now they realize they put their foot in their mouth because they wrote an angry letter to a man who's done more for the town than any of them put together and donated the land for and is the reason why we Wareham has a YMCA. "Oh, oh what do we do? Oh, lets blame Jimmy! He's not here!"
5 minutes, and they tossed him under the bus.

How do we get the message to this board of jokers that when you lay off a full time employee and cut all part time employees hours in half and let go several part time employees altogether, that someone has to do their work in addition to their own??? That's what the 3 full time members of the library staff does on Monday and Tuesday. You can't open a whole library with just 2 or 3 people working in the building. And of course now that they are furloughed, they are not there 40 hours so guess when that work gets done? I'd like to cut Cronan's work force in half and see if his "people" can get the same amount of work done as before. He is an idiot. And I wonder if Brenda and Jane told the MBLC that they actually cut more money from the library budget with the furlough? I bet they didn't. Always telling the truth. Their hatred of the library is so clear. They should ask the TA why it took 4 months to get the volunteers who applied CORI reports. Plus, did they bother to ask how many volunteers filled out applications? I asked and it was just a handful. They hate Susan Pizzolato and it shows. They are now trying to throw her under the bus with Jimmy Potter. Why doesn't someone stand up like Dr. Bicki did and expose lies when they are told?
Also, vote against the BOS clean water article at town meeting. Their water committee is a joke and is only there to do the BOS's bidding. Who would want to be on their committee where they meet a couple of times, are given "articles" to read and don't bother to read them, then they put an article on the town warrant. Are any of them experts in the field? Oh yeah, the article is against AD Makepeace who just saved the whole aquifer with its conservation land. Again, it shows that if they hate someone, no matter how much that person does for the town, they get thrown under the bus. It is getting crowded under that bus.
As to Dr. Gleason. He is such a wonderful person and has done so much for this town, yet this board takes the word of one person and doesn't bother to investigate?? Did you hear Bruce say they should check into these things before putting someone off a board. Did they do that with the library trustees? If they had asked instead of just kicking them all off the board, they might not be spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a law suit that could have been avoided. But their hatred for the library meant there was no chance. Brenda was "blind" before that little flash went off. Blind to the truth.
