After reading all the back and forth on all the sites and in the rag I've been piecing together the ragman's employment history and was wondering if anyone else ever wondered what the real deal is here.
We have been told through dramatic editorial that the ragman started out in San Francisco at the examiner, I think he even said he was there during the Zodiac times, which would mean that he started with the Examiner when he was 9 or 10 years old...( He said he is in his mid forties and the zodiac killer's last victim was Oct 1969)
As for work on the east coast...
He worked for MPG as an editor until he "left after a heated debate about how they were covering Wareham" his words, which he added he was asked to gather his things and leave. The question was posted how many people quit when they are "asked to gather their things?" During this stint he "wasn't friends with" many of the current players at the courier including Corbet, Smith, and Regal (hmm, no axe to grind there).
Next up, the ragman worked for MPG's competitor who launched a failed attempt to force the courier out of business (billw diagrams the logic of how newspaper do this with free delivery etc.) This barely has enough time to get underway when the two companies merge and the ragman is "laid off" his words. Oddly, that layoff comes while there is an outstanding lawsuit against him and the newspaper, which is settled after he is once again asked to gather his things and leave AND all his old friends, including people who worked under him still work at the "corporate giant". Again, no axe to grind there.
Next up, he purchases the slobserver and transforms it into media mega giant slobserver media LLC pattent pending all rights reserved no parking. Just the title alone lends itself to the envy of the "heartless corporations." So after less than two years at the helm the former owner of the slobserver is let go/walks out/ asked to gather her things after a heated debate about how Wareahm handles doll purchases.
Now on a weekly basis the slobserver bashes all the huge mega media giants as to how they are al crumbling and going out of business all the while complaining about how he has no money and begging for subscription.
Yep, that's someone I'd hire. Did I miss anything?

Actually Flox, that's a pretty good rundown of the Ragman's resume.

But also keep in mind, the Ragman boasts he beat the selectmen secretary's lawsuit, but CNC settled it on their end. If you'd gotten a settlement from a company, would you bother continuing after the Ragman's debt ridden chump change?
By the way, where did the Ragman go to college? He seems to boast everything, but I don't recall him ever boasting about a college degree.
