There's an interesting editorial on the tritown portion of the slobserver site, I'm not sure if it is in the print edition or not, but I printed a copy for the Hall of Shame.
Seems that chris regal from the sentinal decided to confront bobbie through an email and thought that that would do her some good. Unfortunately for her ignoring the ragman is probably a better bet as he's constantly looking for a fight so he can blog about it in his rag.

So, on to the interesting points, you can read the article for yourself, I'll cover the legal stuff.

First year law 101, why this column is Libel and why the ragman already lost this one.

The first thing to note is that regal requested this exchange of pleasantries to be private, this is a fact given to us by the ragman so it is undisputed, quote the ragman "For the record, Reagle asked us not to print her comments." The problem bobbie faces here is once again a little thing called libel, he really should get a lawyer, oh sorry again, a good lawyer. The deal is, when people contact the media and request a "private" conversation, printing what was said is then a libelous action. Interesting that the ragman thinks, "the public had a right to know" as the courts would disagree. Way to go ragman, take that law into your own hands what does the public know anyway, silly laws.

So now the ragman prints the things regal allegedly said, yes I'm hoping for a jeer for "allegedly" as Mixie, ihateliz and I among others are hoping to be the listed in the jeers, it's like a badge of honor, come on bobbie, how about a little jeeriepoo. So, regal allegedly said, as bobbie could have altered them for drama sake or whatever, and now those comments are out there for the public to see. Who is slandering (libeling) who here you may ask. The simple answer is, the person in control of the release of the information. So, once again, bobbie slams regal for what she says and libels her with her own words, if they are indeed what she said, if he changed them it is even funnier, oops, I mean more serious for the defense.

What this all basically comes down to is a fundamental misunderstanding on the part of the slobserver. If you are the idiot who put it in print, you are responsible. So bobbie prints regals, or anyones, comments about him and then says, "they slandered me!" when in reality they did no such thing as the damage did not occure until the ragman put it in print as he is the one making the comments public. Libel and slander are both related to public comments, call him whatever you want in private.

What a fun morning, and here I thought the sentinel was asleep at the wheel.
