From this week's Tri-Town Rag:

QUOTH RAGMAN - "JEERS - Chris Reagle – We always encourage all viewpoints on issues, but the editor of The Sentinel badly damaged her credibility by spouting off on the Wareham Free Library decertification issue in her column last week without doing even the most basic research."

Damn Ragman, you really hate libraries so much you'll go after anyone that defends them?  Ha ha ha, Mr. "I'll always light up candles around my picture of Bruce" is going to talk about someone ELSE having damaged credibility.  Ragman, you have ZERO credibility.  Yeah, Ragman, you encourage all viewpoints, except if someone expresses a pro-library viewpoint, you start foaming at the mouth.

QUOTH RAGMAN - "First she laid the blame on the Wareham selectmen, claiming they chopped $200,000 off the library budget after the town was faced with a $1.9 million deficit. Most first-year reporters know that selectmen don’t control a town’s budget. That is the responsibility of the town administrator and the Finance Committee."

Really, Ragman?  The fincom, not the selectmen, are the ones who propose the budget?  Good to know, because I believe that question was the focus of the fight on town meeting floor a few years ago between selectmen and fin com that led to the fin com's mass resignation in protest, and you took the BOS' side on that one.

QUOTH RAGMAN - "Then she said the $200,000 budget reduction forced the library to shut down “for all intense and purposes." Assuming that she means “intents” and purposes, the library still remains open 25 hours per week.

HA HA HA, oh Ragman!  You're going to talk about the spelling and grammar mistakes of others?  In this same issue, you titled your tri-town "In this Corner" on your tri-town website "SPOMETHING PURE IN THE SNOW" WITH A P!!!!  (Everyone go check it out now before he corrects it.)

Ragman, you going after other people for language errors is like Paris Hilton calling someone else a slut.  Or should I say SPOMEONE else a slut?

QUOTH RAGMAN - "The only reason the library isn’t open full time is because the acting library director has chosen to play politics. Several library employees belong to the union and are under contract to be paid 40 hours per week. All it would have taken is to put one of these people at the front desk, checking books in and out, to remain open long enough to satisfy one of the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners for certification. This was all one big political game by library lobbyists, and the people of Wareham are now suffering the consequences."

No, it's because the acting director did what the acting TA ordered as ordered by the BOS.

QUOTH RAGMAN - "The libraries in the Tri-Town area have chosen not to loan books to Wareham residents. There is no law mandating that decision. They have done so because they don’t want to incur the wrath of the MBLC, which is basically a non-funded state lobby group for public libraries."

Wow, there's corruption at every level of the library system, huh Ragman?  Ragman, get this through your graying fro - THE MBLC MEMBERS ARE APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR OF MASSACHUSETTS, THEY ARE A STATE AGENCY, AND THEY ARE THE STATE'S HIGHEST GOVERNING AUTHORITY OVER THE STATE LIBRARY SYSTEM, YOU MORON!!!

QUOTH RAGMAN - "If the Wareham town administrator didn’t cut the library funding, that money would have had to come out of the police, school, or Counsel on Aging budget. The issue came before Town Meeting. Voters made their decision between discretionary and non-discretionary spending. It had nothing to do with the selectmen."

But whatever they do, they wouldn't sacrifice "Failed Pizza Parlor Avenue" or any of the other legal expenses, the total which the townspeople will never find out, even though it is their right to know.

QUOTH RAGMAN -  "The next time Reagle wants to discuss the library situation in Wareham, perhaps she should do more then just read press releases from lobby groups."

And the next time you write about anything, Ragman, perhaps you should do more than just write down verbatim and take as gospel whatever comes out of your bosom buddy Brucey's mouth.

Ragman, You said you don't lie.  THIS IS A LIE AND YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE YOUR RESEARCH. You don't care.  You continue to tell this lie over and over again even though you must know it is not the truth.   The acting director  was TOLD to cut the hours to 25.  She wasn't even given the respect that an acting director should have received.  She should have been given the budget and then been allowed to do what is best for the library with the funding available.  Is the news in the rag just a fairy tale?  Well remember, happily ever after is only a fairy tale.  Either you lie or you are dumb.  What is it?  Even if the acting director wanted to defend herself by presenting the truth, I'm sure there is something in writing, she's not allowed to because ragman gets to cover up the lies of the BOS.  And yes BOS because it was bruce who gave the directives to the acting TA.  I think someone talked about just desserts a few posts ago.  I believe in fairness and justice and I am a little impatient waitng for justice - when is your slapping happening?  Could it be this week becaue we all deserve to have the truth start coming out even if it means it has to start with the slapp that you so richly deserve.  Please, please, please happen soon.....You are not going to get away with this forever because lies do catch up with people.

BillW, is there anything on old minutes or tapes about how the TA handled the cuts to the library?  Ragman is lying and I think his lies  need to be shown for what they are.

And Ms. Lilly, You might have been blogging on the s-t website around this time.  I hope you remember being there and remember someone saying that the acting director should have recieved the budet and then did what was best....

And further more, at the BOS meeting this past Tuesday, Brenda complained that the acting director  let people in for the literacy grant...You were there ragman.....why didn't you write about how petty that is.
The Brenda and Bruce don't want that library open.  Brenda used some flimsy excuse that it was using heat and electricity.  Why don't you look at the facts and stop writing your fantasy.

Queen of Wareham, will you please go back through you old papers and look up who cut the number of hours for the library?  I think it is important that the truth be shown to people one truth at a time.
BillW any chance of getting the section of the tape when Brenda complains about the people using the heat and electricy from the library?
Let's make it our motto and our mission.  One person and one truth at a time.

Robert Slager lies every time he types or opens his mouth. The truth is not in him. Sounds like a joke, doesn't it?

I've occasionally borrowed and ripped BOS meeting videos when someone I knew was outraged enough to demand a copy from the Town Clerk's office, at $20 a pop. This was every week until my friends grew weary and gave up.

That's the trick, you see. Tell nonstop lies by design even when telling the truth is easier. Most people don't know how to handle that and lose it in anger or quit. That's the Bob/Brenda/Brucie bonus, boiled down to its essentials: More noise.

One of many reasons I've never owned a tv. I can find that clip you mention but anymore, is there any point?

Yes, I saw that too, and yes he's already changed it. The comedy of it all.
