Geraldo Rivera lived next door to the elegant Kittansett Club pictured here until wife - #5 or #6, lost count - evicted and cleaned his clock.

Soon after the Geraldos settled in, Rivera applied for membership and arrived at the club house, good to tee off, before his check cleared.

Not how it works, club swells advised him. There's a wait list, sometimes years long and trustees vote on all supplicants. Jerry Rivers, half Jewish, half 'Rican, and 100% putz, knew hell would freeze over before he'd gain inbred admission.

Jerry made some calls - threats, according to some - and the club returned his check.

As a gesture of his forgiving nature, Jerry helicopter buzzed the course repeatedly during an annual tournament frequented by leisure luminaries.

The FAA yanked the pilot's ticket and fined Geraldo $50,000.

I mention it only because Jerry's in the news again this week, issued a no trespass order by North FL police investigating a missing five year old.
