the contents of which would save me from the bad people
i looked up and i had become my own thorazine pill

the end or the beginning

The irony about Ana's nonsense its that the picture was never intended to be anything about her.  When her gas station friend emailed me in December to tell me that she was offended by the picture, I took it down because...because I did.  But why now is she drawing so much attention to the picture 3 months after the fact.   Yeah bring a picture of Brucie in wolves clothing and the Wareham Police Department will do what...?????

oneear, you got my creative juices flowing:

I stand on the edge of the sidewalk in front of the Wareham Town Hall -
I look down into the gutter.  What do I see?  A Board of Selectmen Meeting -
My eyes are bleeding -

Off topic (sort of) but nice.

From the beach today, a message from a Wareham gull:

Don't drop the ball

The truth will set you free.

PLEASE click me to enlarge, I am a very handsome truth-gull, aka, a seegull.

(By popular demand, another photo.)

My main indulgence, not the cheapest hobby but then not the most expensive either, is photography. Everything is edited on iPhoto.

For those interested I just moved up from a Nikon D-70 to a D-90 and added a most excellent all-purpose zoom, the Nikkor 18mm - 200 mm with vibration reduction. That replaces a 70 mm -300 mm zoom.

These boats were about a half mile out from Little Harbor this afternoon before the fog lifted.

urneighbor... Great pictures. What kind of gull is that? The picture showing the wing span, the colors and patterns look a lot like the feathers on a hawk.

Well, we could always talk about the Tobey will and how it has been abused over the years,

we could talk about Wareham High School' zero tolerance for knives, drugs snd bullying.  This principal says there are no weapons in school but the students see kids with knives - some double edged that they slip under their shirt sleeves when a teacher is looking around.    Even kids that don't do drugs can tell you  were they can get some for you.  Bullying is an everyday occurance at WHS.  I has to be stopped!

Give me a chance to think of some other things. I'm tired right now.

This was for sure a seagull as you could see when it was on the sand. All I know about gulls I learned the other day when I discovered I'd always been wrong about how to tell male from female. It turns out they look the same. I'd always thought the white ones were male and the tan ones were females. Wrong. They are different types. Male and females look the same because they share egg sitting duties.

Everyone takes pictures of seagulls so it is a challenge to snap them in a different way. A group of gulls were fighting over this foam ball, no doubt their birdbrains registering it as a tasty clam.

urneighbor... I know it is a seagull. I was just commenting that  the feather color and pattern is very similar to that of a hawk. I  never realized what colors were on the wings until I saw your great picture of the wing span.

There are 2 osprays that fly around the onset beaches. They are really cool. I think they would be tough to get a picture of, unless you knew where they had their nest.

Seeing Ospreys is a daily thing in Florida.
Look for the highest point possible in an area that is surrounded by water and you will see their nests if they are there.

Hey Dan... What happened to the rest of your history of Wareham. Do you have any funny stories about being a selectman?

Marny...thanks for asking.
Next week I am going to skip all of the nicey, nicey crap and go right to the world of politics I experienced once home from the Marine Corps and on the Police Department.
I have been entertained by wonderful stories that we all want to hear about how Onset and Wareham used to be, and I appreciate those like bornofwareham, gnome, etc. have contributed to the tales.
We can always tell those stories. Starting next week, I'll be telling you stories of how it really was, and what you have to do to make sure it gets back to some sort of order within the political community.
It seems to me you are lacking leaders, and that is sad.
Having a big mouth and talking like a guy with a paper butthole does not make you a leader.
Those who sit back, in elected office, and let someone like that destroy the name of Selectman is inexcusable.
We will have fun starting in the next few days.
Again, thanks for asking, and thank you to all that contributed thus far.
