Wareham Town Meeting Moderator Claire Smith knew there wasn't a quorum at the beginning of last night's meeting. Everyone in the auditorium knew that much, and watched their number dwindle further with each subsequent vote. Many, like myself, exited the meeting early, convinced Wareham couldn't legally consider the budget that night.

Allow me to suggest the town either roll back last night's budget vote or remove the moderator from office before Town Meeting reconvenes.
