Can't call it a mistake, I guess. One of the most respected and longest running humor sites on the net was about to fold. Its creator had had enough.

I persuaded the site's rabid fans and daily inhabitants to keep the party going and migrate to one of my test sites. So thirteen years, next April Fools Day, the CRUEL.COM lunacy continues.

Fair warning. Its motto/disclaimer is: 'Coarse and offensive satire is worshiped here.' Here's the kicker. The site is named for my favorite place in the world. High Street, Wareham. Massachusetts.

I had a dozen other more aptly named domains at hand but once released into the wild, it was too late. Couldn't call it back.
